Nina von Moltke

Nina is overseeing the Digital Publishing Development Group at Random House Inc. Her team is comprised of the corporate digital product development teams that are focused on creating and bringing to market new digital experiences beyond the narrative text-based ebook formats as well as the Audio Group, Living Language, Reference, and Fodor’s Travel Guides – business lines that already derive a large part of their revenue from digital formats.

Nina has worked at Random House in various roles since 2002, first at the Crown Publishing Group and subsequently in various Corporate Finance and Corporate Development positions.  Before taking on her current responsibilities early last year, she was V.P., Corporate Development and an active participant in the various strategic discussions around the digital transition.

Nina’s career path has been marked by her dual interest in content and management.  After completing a Master’s degree in Philosophy, Art History, and History of Sciences in Berlin, she first worked at various performing arts organizations throughout Europe.  After that, she switched course to get more savvy in business matters and joined the strategic consulting firm McKinsey for a short stint and then went on to the Kennedy School at Harvard in 2000 to pursue an M.P.A. degree.
