Dominique Raccah

Dominique Raccah is the CEO & publisher of Sourcebooks, the company she founded in 1987 which is now the largest woman-owned trade book publishing company in the country. From the start, Raccah has directed a continuously growing entrepreneurial company that has morphed into a general trade house, happily producing everything from bestsellers in fiction, to number one titles in baby names and college guides, eighteen New York Times Bestsellers and over twenty national bestsellers.

This attitude of innovation led Sourcebooks into pioneering a line of bestselling, cutting edge mixed-media titles (MediaFusion) that resulted in an early involvement in digital book projects, and more recently iPhone and iPad apps, enhanced digital books and many digital partnerships. Raccah is excited about taking a leading independent book publisher into an evolving digital landscape.

Last year, Dominique was presented with the honor of the 2010 Woman of Vision Award by the Chicago Law Firm Arnstein & Lehr. She currently serves as the first ever woman co-chair of the Book Industry Study Group, a leading association in our industry. She is also a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association, Romance Writers of America, and Vistage CEO.
