As President of Capstone Digital a business unit of Capstone, Brekhus leads the digital product vision and strategy as the organization continues to expand its digital solutions in the education market.
Capstone Digital launched myON reader in January 2011. myON reader has won several awards, including SIIA Innovation Most Likely to Succeed. myON is exceeding second year expectations as over 1.4M students have been reading over 8 million books online. In January 2012, myON began expanding the platform with additional education and trade publishers. Publisher such as DK, Hachette Little Brown, Highlights for Children, Saddleback Books, Sylvan Dell, and many others have joined the growing program.
Before joining Capstone, Todd held a variety of executive positions, including Vice President and CMO of PLATO Learning, President and COO of Learning Elements, and Education Program Director for MCI WorldCom, where he helped build and implement the Marco Polo program. Todd also spent eight years in education as a teacher, department chair, and Technology Director and served on the Board of the Educational Division of The Software Information Industry Association for five years.
Todd lives in Minnesota with his wife Chris Ann, a professional blogger, and four kids.
